From January 1, 2017, the Indian government has relaxed the visa rules for Bangladeshi citizens and it is indeed good news for Bangladeshis who want to travel India for various reasons like medical, business, and tour purposes. Getting e -tokens is a very difficult task and often the common people need to spend Tk 3,000 to get one. Bangladesh and India have been sharing excellent bilateral relations now and I think both countries should introduce on-arrival visa system so that communication and people-to-people contact increase and it will be beneficial for both countries. Every year thousands of Bangladeshis travel India and Bangladesh stand second from where India gets most visitors. Lengthy India visa process discourages many Bangladeshi to visit India as tourists. India is a popular tourist destination of the world and the Indian government is trying to attract more foreigners in their country for tourism. More than 1.1 million Bangladeshi people travel India every year and their number is steadily increasing with each passing year. I hope high-speed train between Bangladesh and India should be introduced, which will help people to travel faster with more comfort. I hope Bangladesh and India both will take step to ease the visa process so that both countries can benefit from the move.
